I went to a blind date last night. A first! So it was awkward and everything. As usual, yours truly felt obiligated to fill in the space, so she talked and talked and talked, and was fucking exhausted after the date. The guy's awfully nice and cute, which was a surprise.

It was Madelaine's birthday party tonight, and I was so glad to escape war TV for just couple of hours. The party was fun, but what I appreciated the most was that I got so many hugs. I've been collecting hugs these days but most of them were just half-hearted. Tonight I got some really good ones from friends who really meant it. I am feeling so much better now.

It's odd how we're going about our lives. I mean, yesterday I ran into some classmates. "Hey what's up?" "Depressed." "Finals hum?" "No! There's a war going on!" I don't know how people adjust, but maybe I am just easily upset??!! So we talked about doing a road trip to Napa. I think it's good. I start to understand how you look into the future to get your mind off this unfortunate moment.

There's something in the air tonight that reminded me of my Boston days. It was the time when the life was consisted only of galfriends, thesis, me and my Toyota. We would drive in a night like this, zipping through the bridge for late-night coffee in Little Italy. I miss that. And Cafe Vittoria's tiramisu.

Quite an overwhelming day! Dropped off 11 reels and only got two real business cards in return. One from Chris ("I was there before, so I totally understand that you really want to talk to people." Super nice guy, thanks a lot!!), and another from Blue Shift ("Roxy. Now that's a nice name. You know what, I'll give you my business card just for that name." No kidding.)
